City of Bamberg - Unofficial Election Results

The unofficial results of the Bamberg City Nonpartisan General Election on April 7, 2009 show in the race for mayor incumbent Alton McCollum retaining his seat for another four year term with a total of 498 votes, compared to closest challenger Janeth Walker with 318, and Lisa Stokes 106.

In the race for a six year term as a Commissioner on the Board of Public Works challenger Buddy Sandifer defeated incumbent Commissioner Bob Clary by a vote of 511 to 408. In the race for a four year term on city council representing District #4, newcomer Ronald W. “Buzzy” Bunch defeated Paulette Bamberg-Jamison by a vote of 73 to 49.

These totals include absentee votes.

City election results will be certified Thursday morning.
