The funeral for Mrs. Daisy Lee Folks, 80, of New York City, was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Rizer Chapel United Methodist Church. She was born February 24, 1936, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mattie Mingo Sr. She was the ninth child.

Mrs. Eileen Harrison Futch, 87, of Simpson, N.C., died Saturday, February 13, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rhomie Leroy Futch Sr. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Ehrhardt Baptist Church. Born September 8, 1922, in Hampton S.C., she was the daughter of the late William Pinckney Harrison and Minnie Vivian Bowers.

Mr. Ulysses ‘Cush’ Goodwin, 93, of Ehrhardt, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. The funeral was held Sunday, February 14, 2010, in the Savannah Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Goodwin was born on November 1, 1916, in Colleton County to the late Lister and Pearl Myers Goodwin.

The funeral for Mrs. Vera Mae Cramer Shuler, of Orangeburg, were held Friday, February 12, 2010.

Funeral services for retired Master Sgt. James E. Toomer, 47, of Bamberg, were held Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Bamberg. James was born to James W. (Tingum) and Edzell Ford Toomer on February 23, 1962, in Bamberg.
