Mr. Henry Franklin Crider, 83, of Bamberg, died Friday, November 27, 2009, at Bamberg County Hospital. The funeral was held Sunday, November 29, 2009, at Spring Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Crider was born April 16, 1926, in Bamberg, son of the late Grover Lee Crider and Johnnie Richard Zeigler.

Christine Schlager England, 80, of Bamberg, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at UPAC of Bamberg, after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Friday, November 27, 2009. Ms. England was born December 20, 1928, in Wels, Austria, a daughter of the late Franz Schlager and the late Maria Schlager.

Funeral services for Virginia Carroll Kemp, 57, of Bamberg, was held Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Ms. Kemp was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late William Webb Carroll and Virginia Davis Carroll.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth R. Livingston, 93, Cordova, were held November 29, 2009, at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cordova. Rachel Elizabeth Livingston was born on January 17, 1916, in Orangeburg to the late Willie and Anna Daniely Richardson.

Myrl Deloris Still, 86, widow of Ulysses B. Still went home to be with the lord on Monday, November 2, 2009, at the Aiken Regional Hospital. Mrs. Still was born in Bamberg County on August 24, 1923. She was the daughter of the late John Heyward Still Sr. and Janie Lou Still. Funeral services were held Friday at the First Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza R. Toomer, 37, of Denmark, were held Saturday, November 27, 2009, in the St. Matthew Church of Deliverance in Denmark. She was born August 4, 1972, to Mr. Robert Williams and the late Ethel Limehouse-Williams.

Carlile Wood Jr., 63, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009, at his home. Carlile was born in Bamberg County on February 23, 1946. He was a son of the late Carlile and Essie Mae Wood. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired carpenter. Funeral services were held Monday.
