Funeral services for Deacon Joseph Haynes Sr., 86, of Bamberg were held Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in the Free Gift Baptist Church, Bamberg. He was born November 30, 1922, in Bamberg to the late Julius and Carrie Franklin Haynes.

The funeral for Mr. William "Joe" Huggins, 71, of Orangeburg, was held Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Warren Chapel Baptist Church, Orangeburg.

Mr. Theo Jamison Sr. of Denmark died Sunday, October 25, 2009. Funeral services were held Friday, October 30, 2009, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Lees. Mr. Jamison was born Jan. 14, 1946, in Bamberg. He was a son of the late Dea. Rufus Sr. and Rebecca Jamison.
