The Rev. William H. "Billy" Kinard, 71, of Orangeburg, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Graveside services were held Thursday, April 2, 2009, in Southend Cemetery in Bamberg. The Rev. Kinard was born Aug. 12, 1937, in Orangeburg, the son of the late James Allie Kinard and the late Mozelle Blume Kinard.

Robert William Rozier, 58, died March 14, 2009, at Memorial Health Medical Center. He was born in Orangeburg, SC, son of the late Alvin Wilcox and Sarah Jones Rozier. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at George's Creek Baptist Church in Govan, SC.

Glen Carter, age 71, passed away Monday, March 30, 2009, at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in York, Pa. Glen was born in Bamberg, SC on July 8, 1937 to the late Deacon Wilbur B. and Eartha (Grant) Carter.

Mrs. Geraldine Johnston Marchant, 79, of Branchville died April 1, 2009, in the Bamberg County Nursing Center. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Hunter's Chapel Baptist Church on Hunter's Chapel Road, Bamberg. Mrs. Marchant was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Kingstree, Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Hyotte Carey Johnston and the late Flossie Allean Blakely.

Funeral services for Mr. Nicholas Jermaine Sapp, 26, of Denmark, were held Saturday, April 4, 2009, in the Voorhees College Gym, Denmark. Mr. Sapp was born April 18, 1982, in Barnwell, to Johnnie Mae Sapp and Horace Odom.

Austin Douglas Lowe, age 21, of San Antonio, TX, died Monday, March 30, 2009. He graduated from Alamo Heights High School and was a member of Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church. A Memorial Service was held Saturday, April 4, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, TX.

Ms. Mary Olivia Livingston Fail, 86, of Orangeburg, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at Laurel Baye Health Care in Orangeburg. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 8, 2009, in New Word of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bamberg. Ms. Fail was born Oct. 11, 1922, in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Oscar Livingston and the late Dora Fogle Livingston.

Ms. Dorothy Fogle Gooch, 93, of Bamberg, died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at her son's home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Ms. Gooch was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late John Frank Fogle and the late Rosalee Ott Fogle.
