The bride is the daughter of Ms. Emma Grubbs of Denmark, S.C. and Mr. & Mrs. Gene Taylor of Bamberg, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Minnie Taylor of Bamberg, S.C.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Meeks of Bamberg, S.C. and Mr. & Mrs. Heyward McAlhany, Sr. of Harleyville, S.C. He is the grandson of Ms. Carrie Croft of Bamberg, S.C. and Ms. Jodie Proveaux of Branchville, S.C.
