Mary Ann Jackson Bishop, 51, of Ehrhardt, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at home after a brief illness. A Memorial Service was held Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, in Ehrhardt Baptist Church. Mary was the wife of James E. "Jimmy" Bishop. She was born Sept. 25, 1957, in Bamberg, to the late Evan Watson Jackson and the late Margie Varn Jackson.

Funeral services for Pearl Risher, 61, of Ehrhardt were held Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in the Savannah Creek Baptist Church, Ehrhardt. Pearl Risher was born November 15, 1947, to Ulysee Goodwin and the late Jeannette Holmes Goodwin.

Mrs. Vera M. Whetstone of Denmark passed Saturday, November 22, 2008. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, November 29, 2008, at Honey Ford Baptist Church, Denmark.

With deep sadness we announce the passing of John Franklin Collins, 76, of Orangeburg. Funeral services were held Nov. 29, 2008, at St. George Baptist Church. Mr. Collins was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Branchville; a son of the late Ernest C. Collins and the late Jessie Pearl Wimberly Collins Rast.

Mrs. Wilhelmina Thompson Lamb, 79, wife of William F. (Bill) Lamb Jr. of Denmark, died Nov. 27, 2008, in Providence Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Denmark. Mrs. Lamb was born Dec. 17, 1928, in Columbia, a daughter of the late Edgar J. and Martha Lee Thompson.

Mrs. Brennie Locke Starnes Tate, 70, of North Street and formerly of Great Falls died Sunday November 23, 2008 at Orangeburg Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Mitford Baptist Church in Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Tate was born July 9, 1938 in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Edward William and Jewell Hammond Starnes.

Mrs. Lucille Washington of Denmark, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008.

Mrs. Carol Emory Smith Pilgrim, 75, of Bamberg, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Bamberg County Hospital in Bamberg. Mrs. Pilgrim was born Aug. 19, 1933, in Poland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clifford Smith and the late Dorothy Smith.
