Funeral services for Mr. James Ray Sr., 78, of Denmark were held Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Blackville. Mr. Ray was born Dec. 7, 1930, to the late Ezekiel Ray Sr. and Hattie Mae Edwards Ray.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard R. "Befus" Glover, 75, of Bamberg, were held in the St. Luke United Methodist Church, Ehrhardt. Mr. Glover was born March 10, 1933 in St. Augustine, Fla. to the late William & Zeta Able Glover.

Funeral services for Thomas "Tommie" Reddish, 71, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Bamberg, were held Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in the City of Refuge Ministries in Blackville. He was born May 19, 1937, to the late Monroe and Carrie Rice Reddish in Bamberg County.

Mrs. Foynell Brown Morris, 93, of Denmark, passed away Oct. 30, 2008, at The Oaks in Orangeburg. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Denmark. She was born May 6, 1915, in Florida, to the late Joe and Addie Huckabee Brown.

Mrs. Christeene Bennett Craig, 80, of Bamberg, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008. Mrs. Craig was born March 5, 1928, in Beaufort, to the late Willie and Idell Drawdy Bennett.

Jerry "Stitch" Mitchell of Walterboro died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at New Life United Methodist Church in Walterboro.

Nicholas C. Black, Jr., 90, Heritage Oaks resident, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Va. He was the son of the late Nicholas C. Black, Sr. and Ella D. Black of Bamberg, S.C.

Mrs. Lynn C. Hendricks, 50 years of age, died Friday October 31, 2008 at her residents. Mrs. Hendricks was born in Orangeburg Co. a daughter of the late Alton Parrott. Funeral services were conducted Monday November 3, 2008 at The Branchville United Methodist Church.
