Funeral services for Jack E. White, 85, of Denmark, were held Friday, September 26, 2008. Jack E. White died September 21, 2008, at Bamberg County Hospital.

Memorial services for Jerry Moore, 52, of Olar, were held Saturday, September 27, 2008, in the St. Luke United Methodist Church, Ehrhardt. Mr. Moore died September 16, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral services for Joseph "Jokie" Milhouse, 67, of Bamberg, were held Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C., Bamberg. Mr. Milhouse was born May 26, 1941, in Bamberg County, to the late Samuel and Katherine Samuels Milhouse. He attended the public schools of Bamberg County.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jacqueline Jamison, 41, of Orangeburg, were held Monday, September 29, 2008. Ms. Jamison was born July 18, 1967. She died Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Palmetto Health Richland following a brief illness.

Ethel Hammett Starnes, 91, of Bamberg, died September 19, 2008. Mrs. Starnes attended Mars Hill College and received her BA Degree from James Madison College. She taught primary and special education in North and South Carolina schools until she returned later in life to pursue her Master’s from Appalachian State University. She continued to teach until her retirement in 1977.
