Cole L. Smith Sr., 91, of Bamberg, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Orangeburg Nursing Home. A graveside service was held Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Smith Cemetery near Bamberg.

Freddie M. Hutto, 80, of Norway died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Bamberg County Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, in Orangeburg.

Shirley Mae Colley, 52, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at the Orangeburg Regional Medical Center.

Alfred E. Myers, son of the late Isiah and Rosa Myers died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at St. Philip's Episcopal Church on the campus of Voorhees College, Denmark.
