Mrs. JoAnn Fail Bennett, 50, of Olar, died Saturday, June 11, 2011. A memorial service was held Tuesday, June 14, 2011. She was born April 20, 1961, she was the daughter of Bobby Lewis Fail and the late Thelma Joyner Fail. She was a homemaker.

Ada Juanita Williams Bruner, 90, of Sanford, N.C., formerly of Bamberg, died Monday, June 6, 2011, in Sanford. Graveside services were held Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Bamberg Memory Gardens. She was married to Joseph Bruner and was the widow of Shelly Williams. She was born July 22, 1920, in Turkey Creek, W. Va., to the late Judge Henry Columbus Sampselle and the late Edith Rowe. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and singing, and she loved her children and her family.

Jimmy Ryan Collins, 72, of Denmark, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Palmetto Health Hospital in Columbia. Services were held Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Ghents Branch Baptist Church. He was a resident of Denmark. He was born July 16, 1938, the son of the late George Beckward Collins and Azilee Gleaton Collins. He was retired from the textile industry.

Mrs. Queen Esther Caldwell Greene, 94, of Orangeburg, died Monday, June 6, 2011, at The Oaks following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Monday, June 13, 2011, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in St. Matthews. Queen Esther Greene was born to the late Sam and Estelle Culclasure Caldwell in Calhoun County on September 16, 1916.

Herbert Lee Hilliard, 68, husband of Betty Williams Hilliard, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital. Born December 30, 1942, in Santee, he was a son of the late Holis and the late Eliza Gadson Hilliard.

Funeral service for Mrs. Estelle Jennings, 67, of Bamberg, were held Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Capernaum Missionary Baptist Church in Denmark. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Michel ‘Frenchie’ Robert, 75, of Orangeburg, passed Saturday, June 4, 2011, at MUSC Hospital in Charleston. Survivors include two daughters, Stacy Dial of Baltimore, Md., and Heather (Jason) Bishop of Bamberg; and three grandchildren.
