Ollie Mae ‘Tutt’ James
Bamberg, 73, of Bamberg, was held Wednesday,
June 8, 2011, at Capernaum
Missionary Baptist Church,
Denmark. Ollie was born August 10, 1937, in
Bamberg County to the late Ida
Mae and Joe James.
Leona Barnes Gallop, 98,
widow of A. Lincoln Gallop,
died peacefully Sunday, May 29,
2011 at her residence in
Seabrook, SC with her family in
attendance. Leona was born December
25, 1912 in Hampton County
near Cummings, SC to Florence
Virginia Mixson and Cornelius
Arrie Barnes. Memorial services were
held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 in The Baptist Church
of Beaufort.
Funeral services for Mrs.
Helen Moody James, 89, of Denmark were held Tuesday,
June 7, 2011, at Capernaum Baptist
Church in Denmark. Mrs. James was the daughter
of the late Deacon Jake and Mrs.
Elizabeth Moody. She was born
February 12, 1922, in Bamberg.
Mrs. Curlyn Pearlstine
Kearse-Jones, 63, of Bamberg,
died Tuesday, May 30, 2011, at the
Regional Medical Center in
Orangeburg. Services were held Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Ebenezer
United Methodist Church in
Bamberg. She was born January 25,
1948, in Bamberg County to the
late Ervin and Addie Mae Kearse Franklin.
Funeral services for Eddie
Mays Sr., 73, of UPAC Nursing
Home, Barnwell, formerly of
Blackville, were held Thursday,
June 2, 2011, at Frost Branch
Baptist Church in Elko. Mr. Mays died Saturday, May
28, 2011, after an extended illness.
Eddie Mays Sr. was born May
1, 1938, in Barnwell County to the
late Harold (Zelma) Mayes.
Mrs. Nesber Kemmerlin
Wrenn of Orangeburg died
Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the
Regional Medical Center in
Orangeburg. The funeral was held Friday, June 3, 2011, at Crestview
Baptist Church in Orangeburg. She was born in Neeses, the
daughter of the late Jesse O.
Kemmerlin and the late Mary Evie
Fogle Kemmerlin. She was a
member of Crestview Baptist
Church and was retired from the
Regional Medical Center and Orangeburg Regional Hospital.
