Eloise Blume Collins Delk, 88, of Olar, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at her daughter's home in Barnwell. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Memorial Baptist Church in Olar. She was born April 24, 1922, in Bamberg to the late John Gary Evans Collins and the late Gertrude Rebecca Wilson Blume.

Funeral services for the Rev. Clary ‘Bobby’ Green, 67, of Denmark, were held Saturday, March 12, 2011, in Denmark Technical College's William McDuffie Auditorium. The Rev. Green was born March 20, 1943, in Blackville to the late Spergeon and Retha Wright Green. He joined Mount Zion Baptist Church in Lees at an early age; he remained a faithful member throughout his entire life. He was educated in the Barnwell County public school system and was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served in the Korean Conflict with the rank of SP4 E-4 (T) as a field artillery rocket crewman.

Byron Anthony Palmer, 90, of Orangeburg died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg after a brief illness. Born September 14, 1920, in Evanston, Ill., he was the son of the late Chester D. Palmer and Clara Palmer. He was the widower of Annette Ducker Palmer. He was a resident of Denmark for many years. He was a retired school teacher and was the former vice president of Palmer Furniture Co. of Denmark.
