Funeral services for Mrs.
Betty Darnell Arnold Bozard,
76, formerly of Orangeburg,
were held Monday, March 7, 2011, at Double
Branch Baptist Church in
Orangeburg. She was born September
13, 1934, in Bamberg County,
the daughter of the late Luther
Darnell and the late Mander
Judy Darnell Gray.
Infant Bryndin Parker
Elledge, 2 months, of Swansea,
died Wednesday, March 2, 2011.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 5,
2011, at Mount Beulah
Pentecostal Holiness Church
near Neeses. Bryndin was born in
Columbia, a son of Clarence
Curtis and Ashlee Kelly Elledge.
Thomas ‘Tommy’ Eugene
Graham, 70, of Bamberg, died
Thursday, March 3, 2011, at his
home. He was born August 5,
1940, in Fairfax to the late
Cleophus Graham and the late
Mary Elizabeth Peeples
Graham. He served in the U.S. Navy on the
USS Dominant from 1958 to
1963. He also loved playing the
bass guitar, gospel music, and
enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 6, 2011 in Bamberg.
Funeral services for John D.
‘Bubba’ Maxwell, 62, of
Orangeburg, were held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at
Edisto Fork United Methodist
Church. John D. Maxwell, son of the
late Elliot Maxwell and Almeta
Grant, was born August 11,
1948, in Orangeburg County.
Mrs. Julia M. ‘Monkey’
Rentz, 82, of Branchville, died
Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at
UniHealth Post-Acute Care in
Bamberg. Funeral services were held Friday, March 4, 2011,
at Zion United Methodist
Church in Branchville. She was born December 24,
1928, in the Midway community
of Bamberg to the late Herbert
Malcolm Folk and the late
Mozelle Black Folk.
