Carrigg Manor thanks you
Dear Editor,
We at Carrigg Manor would
like to thank each one of you who
came and did programs or gave
gifts at Christmas time to our residents.
It was such a happy time
for them. Your ministry was
greatly appreciated. It certainly
brightened each Carrigg Manor
resident's day.
Thanks Again,
The staff and folks at Carrigg Manor
Thank you for your support
Dear Editor,
The Ehrhardt Faith Builder
Community of "Shalom" wishes
to thank everyone for their support
and participation in the Youth
"N" Spirit Program at Rizer
Chapel United Methodist Church
on February 23. The inspirational
speaker for the event was eleven
year old Desimond Antley from
Edisto Fork United Methodist
Church in Orangeburg. Other
ministers in attendance were Rev.
Davie Sanders, minister of Rizer
Chapel and Ebenezer United
Methodist Church and Rev.
Ronald Washington, minister of
St. Luke and Friendship United
Methodist Church. Shalom members
were introduced by the
chairperson, Harry Broughton.
March is American Red Cross Month
Dear Editor,
MARCH! American Red
Cross Month! The only time of
the year you hear from us regarding
donations. But before you dig
down, maybe you would like to
hear what we did during the last
year.
Over 257 people were
trained in this county to learn
how to save a life - First Aid and
CPR - maybe your life!
Then there were fires - 11 of
them - that's almost one a month
- about twice the amount of last
year. Of course that meant a place
to stay, (motels) and clothing,
food and other items. Thank goodness for the Cheeze and
Cracker Box for there assistance.
We have brought countless
Military men home in emergencies.
There are Junior Red Cross
Clubs in both high schools - our
future and yours.
At the end of the month, last
Friday, March 28 we will have
our annual Fund raiser Bingo at
the Bamberg Civic Center. Starts
at 7 p.m. Great prizes - average
about $75.00 each on line Bingo's
and your cost (donation) but
$1.00! Come on out - have fun
and support YOUR American
Red Cross. If you cannot come,
send a donation to the American
Red Cross, PO Box 507,
Bamberg, SC 29003.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Harvey Kling, Executive Director
Bamberg County American Red Cross
