Funeral services for Xania C. Gilliam Hutto, 87, of Blackville, S.C., were held Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Double Pond Baptist Church, Blackville, S.C. Mrs. Hutto passed away Friday, December 24, 2010. Born in Bamberg County, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Ida Atterberry Gilliam and was married to the late Marvin Hobson Hutto for 65 years. She was a graduate of Denmark High School and a member of Double Pond Baptist Church.

The funeral for Mrs. Margie Ruth Hughes Thomas, 85, of Orangeburg, was held Thursday, January 13, 2011. She was born November 10, 1925, in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Johnny and Maggie Judy Hughes. She was retired from Ambler Industries. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Cope.
