County Emergency Website
Bamberg County
Emergency Services is
introducing the launch of their
new website that is inclusive of
all emergency services within
the county.
The new state-of-the-art
website has been under
construction for several months;
however it is now ready for
county agencies and the public
to use. The intent for the
development of this website is to
provide another form of
communication to the citizens of
Bamberg County. Further, this
site will provide an extensive list
of resources for the community
and our counties first
responders. This is one more
mode of communication for our
citizens to keep themselves
informed and ready in the eye of
impending disaster. Please visit us at http://bamberg.dpa-web.net/
Lastly, we would also like
to introduce that Bamberg
County Emergency Services and
Bamberg County Community
Emergency Response Team
(CERT) are now on Facebook.
Since, social media is a major
mode of communication in our
societies today, this is one more
way that the emergency services
office is dedicated to ensuring
our citizens are informed with
the most up-to-date and
accurate information. To join,

Cheeze and Cracker Box
Jerry E. Halmon, Staff Reporter

As the saying goes on
Broadway, “the show must go
on.” And, on Tuesday morning,
December 21, with Cheeze and
Cracker Box executive director
Enid Bishop “under the weather”
Runnelle Weeks and a team of 27
volunteers took the helm of the
program that delivers Christmas
baskets to needy citizens in
Bamberg County for Christmas.
Weeks, undaunted by a broken
foot and her team of volunteers
oversaw the delivery of 300 bags
of groceries. Again this year the
food delivery was made
successful by a group of student
volunteers from Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, Andrew
Jackson Academy and Orangeburg Prep. “They were a
great help.”
