I Am astounded

Dear Editor,

I was astounded that Mr. Alvin Greene received 2691 votes in Bamberg county. While I do not know Mr. Greene personally and have nothing against him, he was under investigation for felony obscenity charges, he never held any office and 2691 people thought he was the best choice to represent them. It is time to stop voting for a particular party and vote for the person. I usually split my ticket as there are always good candidates in both parties. I hope in the future citizens will research candidates and carefully consider their vote. Our country needs the best of both parties and we, as voters, should not blindly vote straight party tickets unless we honestly believe that one party has the best candidates.
