Jacob Francis Garrick, 62, of Cordova, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church in Cope. He was born August 22, 1948, in Orangeburg, the son of the late Jesse Hampton Garrick and the late Doris Pickering Garrick.

Mrs. Nazarine Daniels Green of Denmark died Friday, October 29, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Greater Sweet Branch Baptist Church in Govan. Mrs. Green, the daughter of the late Deacon John Daniels and Sister Mattie Williams Daniels, was born February 19, 1920, in Bamberg County (Govan).

A celebration of the lives of Willie and Shirley Kinard, of Bamberg, were held Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church in Bamberg. Willie, 61, departed this life at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg on Saturday, October 23, 2010; while the demise of his loving wife, Shirley, 60, occurred at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia on Friday, October 22, 2010. Willie was the son of the late Mr. Lenwood and Mrs. Bernell Dolby Kinard. He was born in Barnwell County on December 12, 1948. His wife, Shirley Dean Summers Kinard, was the daughter of the late Mr. Shellie Summers and Mrs. Julia Franklin Summers. She was born in Bamberg on March 18, 1950.

Funeral services for Belinda Parker, 36, of Orangeburg, was held Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at Canaan United Methodist Church in Cope. Mrs. Parker, who was also known as "Big Baby," was born to Richard and Willie Mae Parker on March 10, 1974.

Funeral services for Sarah Phyllis Crosby Sinkler, 55, of Charleston, formerly of Bamberg, was held Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in the Cathedral of St. John The Baptist in Charleston. She was born in Bamberg on October 17, 1955 to the late Dora Willie Mae Furtick Crosby and the late Fletcher Dukes Crosby.

Grace Lucille Proveaux Young, 86, of Goose Creek, entered into eternal rest on October 28, 2010. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Mrs. Young was born August 2, 1924, in Bamberg, South Carolina, daughter of the late Benjamin Proveaux and the late Bessie Haley Proveaux.
