UniHealth PostAcute Care of
Bamberg an affiliate of UHSPruitt
Health Care Services of
Toccoa, Georgia joined the other
affiliates of the organization in
celebrating 41- years of health care
service on Thursday, September 9,
with a luncheon at the facility on
North Street in Bamberg, followed
by an organization wide address by Neil L. Pruitt, Jr., Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer.
“We’re very excited about
having this event,” Luther Reeves,
administrator of UniHealth Post
Acute Care of Bamberg said in a
news release. “It is very important
that we acknowledge our history
and the important contributions we
have made and continue to make
to health care in Bamberg, SC.”
UHS-Pruitt Health Care
Services assumed ownership of
the former Bamberg Nursing
Center on August 2, of 2009.
Reeves, in an earlier interview
with the Advertizer Herald, noted
that the Bamberg facility has
undergone over one-million
dollars in renovations with more to
come.
“We are proud of the
improvements that have been
made and are continuing to be
made to our facility. Our new state-of-the art therapy gym has helped
people return home and resume
their lifestyle. Our nurses, C.N.A.s,
housekeepers and dietary staff
work hard every day to provide the
highest level of care possible to the
quests we serve. Our leadership
team constantly looks for ways to
meet the needs of those we serve.
UniHealth Post Acute Care of
Bamberg is proud to be a part of
the Pruitt family and we are
excited about what the next 41-years will bring.”
UHS-Pruitt was founded in
1969 by Neil L. Pruitt, Sr. in
Toccoa, Georgia. It has grown
from a single nursing home to a
multi-faceted health care
organization with over 130
locations throughout the
Southeastern United States.
Today, they care for over
20,000 residents and patients
through the hard work of over
13,000 employees. The
organization is now led by Neil L.
Pruitt, Jr., CEO according to the
news release.
