Memorial service for Rev. Gary Arnold, former pastor of the Bamberg Word of Life, will be held for friends and family Sunday, September 26, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at the Bamberg Word of Life P. H. Church, 85 North Street, Bamberg. Brother Gary passed away Monday evening, August 23, 2010.

Funeral services for Ms. Rasheen Iyesha Brown, 32, of Denmark, were held Friday, September 10, 2010, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lees. Ms. Brown died Sunday, September 5, 2010, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. She was born in Hampton County on April 23, 1978, to Lee Brown and Annette Geter Brown.

Billy F. Croft Sr., 65, of Bamberg, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 11, 2010. Mr. Croft was born March 8, 1945, in Bamberg County. He was the son of Mrs. Vinell Hiott Croft and the late George Judson Croft.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Rose Beatrice Williams-Crosby, 67, of Bamberg, were held on Sunday, September 12, 2010, in the Hickory Hill United Methodist Church in Smoaks. Annie was born to the late Professor Williams Sr. and Myrtle Black Williams on October 29, 1942, in Jasper County.

Mrs. Anne Ruth Fender, 67, of Lodge, entered into her state of eternal rest Friday afternoon, September 3, 2010, at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon, September 6, 2010. Mrs. Fender was born January 25, 1942, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Edward Henry Varnadoe and the late Julia Smoak Varnadoe.

Mrs. Mildred Elise Seigler Folk, age 92, of Aiken, beloved wife of the late Mr. John W. Folk, and daughter of the late Levi and Beulah Rickard Seigler, entered into rest Thursday, September 9, 2010. Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at Central Baptist Church Cemetery.

Funeral Services for Evangelist Georgia Mae Brabham-Howard, 55, of Beech Island, formerly of Bamberg, were held on Saturday, September 11, 2010, in Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Bamberg. Evangelist Brabham-Howard was born April 14, 1955, to the late Nelson and Lucille Bowers.

The funeral for Mr. Maurice "Moe" Wiggins, 36, of Charlotte, N.C., and formerly of Denmark, were held on Saturday, September 11, 2010, in the Sweet Rest Baptist Church, Olar. Mr. Wiggins died Sunday, September 5, 2010, as a result of an auto accident in Charlotte, N.C. He was born January 29, 1974, in Bamberg, to Louise Griffin Wiggins and the late Ferman Wiggins.
