Dennis (Pops) Bowers, 51, of Bamberg, died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at MCG Medical Center in Augusta, Ga. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School gym in Bamberg. Dennis Lee Bowers was born on May 31, 1959, in Bamberg, to Brooker and Daisy Bowers.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ann Langdale Long, 76, of North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest August 13, 2010, were conducted Monday, August 16, 2010 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Long was a native of Spartanburg, SC, having made North Augusta her home for the past 52 years.

Phillip Wayne Murphy, 74, of Orangeburg, died Thursday, August 12, 2010, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Funeral services were held Monday, August 16, 2010, at the Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Orangeburg. Mr. Murphy was born on December 14, 1935, in Spartanburg, the son of the late Fritz Murphy and the late Lois Bridges Murphy.

The funeral service for Carole Grubbs Pooser, 65, of Norcross, GA, were held Monday, August 16, 2010, at Peachtree Corners Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was born in Denmark, on September 6, 1944, the eldest child of Otto Wallace Grubbs and Ida Mae Hartzog Grubbs.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Salley, 49, of Bamberg, were held Tuesday, August 17, 2010, in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Bamberg. She was born July 21, 1961, to Sammie Lee and Rosenia Davis Sease in Bamberg County.

Mr. Norman Smalls Solomon, 80, of Denmark, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Bamberg County Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Central Baptist Church located in Denmark. Mr. Solomon was the son of the late Ms. Martha Ann Solomon and the late Jerry Smalls.
