Mrs. Sarah Ina Williams Ransom, the daughter of the late Mr. Robert and Mrs. Orabell Free Williams, was born February 24, 1918, in Denmark.

Mr. Jack O. Rowes, 84, widower of Elizabeth (Lib) Hoyt Rowes, died July 31, 2010, in Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. He was born November 27, 1925, in Nashville, Tenn., a son of the late John Rowes and Lulu Brunson Rowes. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

Brenda Lee Stanley, 39, of Varnville, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Hampton Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Ms. Stanley was born September 14, 1970, in Hampton and was a daughter of John Norris Stanley, Jr. and Mary Ann Searson Stanley.
