Thank you Mr. Joe Stone

Dear Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Joe Stone, Manager of the Bamberg Piggly Wiggly for his kindness and willingness to help citizens in our community. I am the Victim's Advocate for the Bamberg Police Department and recently had an elderly victim of a Burglary, in which the perpetrator went into the victim's residence and stole her groceries out of her freezer. It is really sad when crimes like these happen to people, especially elderly people who live on a limited income. Mr. stone and Bamberg Piggly Wiggly donated a gift card to her, in order for her to replace some of her groceries that were taken. Mr. Stone is always friendly and willing to help out anytime and his kindness should not go unrecognized. Thanks again Mr. Stone for everything you do for our community and thanks to Piggly Wiggly.

Sheriff Ed Darnell deserves your support

Dear Editor,

For over 30 years, I have engaged in the practice of law. I have defended against every kind of charge on the books and much of this criminal practice has been in Bamberg County. I know firsthand how professional, understanding and sensitive to the needs of people Sheriff Darnell has been and I consider him among the best. I graduated from Voorhees College and I was fortunate enough to serve my alma mater as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for over sixteen years and I know how helpful and cooperative Sheriff Darnell was in some difficult situations.

We have not always agreed on things but he is always willing to listen and see the other point of view. I urge all my friends in Bamberg County to vote this kind gentleman back in office for another term.
