I am proud to be an American
While I was watching the
spectacular display of fireworks
Sunday night at the Ness Sports
Complex, I realized how proud I
was to be an American.
Even with the economy the
way it is, the oil spill in the Gulf
and in the midst of two wars,
The United States is still the
greatest nation in the world.
There is no other nation that can
even compare to what we have.
We live in the land of the
free, a land full of opportunity
and most of all ‘Home of the
Brave.’
We as Americans have a
common bond-Freedom. Our
freedom was not cheap and it did
not come easy.
There were lots of lives
sacrificed and our founding
fathers fought many hard battles,
enduring hardships, so that we
could live free and be
independent from other nations.
We need to celebrate the
Americans who fought for our
independence and celebrate the
Americans who are still fighting
to preserve our freedom so that
we may still have life, liberty
and the pursuit of happiness.
Yes…There is always
someone out there trying to
undermine our Constitution, our
Faith and our
Religion…Someone out there
trying to undo what our
founding fathers fought so hard
for…but only if we let them.
Yes…I am very proud to be
an American, proud of what
those who came before me have
done and proud of our American
Soldiers and what they stand
for…Freedom.
God Bless America! “We have proclaimed our
freedom to live free rather than die as slaves,”… Samuel Adams.
