Mr. Nils I. Andersson, 74, of Denmark, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Denmark after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mr. Andersson was born November 19, 1935, in Vaxtrop, Sweden, a son of the late Theodore and Hilma Nelson Andersson. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1953. A memorial service was held Friday, April 9, 2010.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rolmell Wilson Kearse, 96, of Magnolia Manor Nursing Center, Columbus, Ga., formerly of Bamberg, were held Thursday, April 8, 2010, in Gethsemane Baptist Church, Bamberg. She was born October 16, 1913, to the late Herbert and Annabel Wilson in Ehrhardt.

Funeral services for Verlease Kearse, 73, of Brooklyn, N.Y., formerly of Bamberg, was held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Verlease was born to Willie and Essie (Grant) Thomas on October 1, 1936.

Memorial services for Dr. Marc Steven Maynor Sr. were held on Friday, April 9, 2010, at Park Street Church of Christ, Columbia. He departed this world on March 28, 2010, at the age of 31, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. He was born on May 7, 1978, in Detroit to Alvin and Mary Maynor.

Funeral services for Mr. Eugene "Bubba" McMillan, 75, of Bamberg, were held Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Williams Chapel Baptist Church in Ehrhardt. He was born June 6, 1934, in the Colston community of Bamberg to the late Rev. Eugene and Eloise Nimmons McMillan Sr.

Joseph "Joe" William Rigby of Bamberg passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010, after a brief illness. Joe was born in Sumter on November 1, 1939, and was the special son of the late Samuel Allen and Clara Green Rigby. A graveside service was held at the Denmark Cemetery Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
