Funeral services for Leroy
Bruner Jr., 76, of Cordova, were
held Friday, March 12, 2010, at Word of Life
Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bamberg. He was born in Norway, the
son of the late Leroy Bruner and Emma Shirley Bruner.
Miss Cheyanne Olive Fisk,
9, born October 8, 2000, joined
our Holy Father on Saturday,
March 13, 2010, at her
residence, under the care of
Hospice Care of South Carolina.
Funeral services were
conducted Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in Walterboro.

Marvin Ray Hoover Sr. of
Bamberg was held Sunday, March 14, 2010, at
Trinity United Methodist Church between North and Woodford.
Mr. Malcolm Eugene
Kemph ‘Gene’, 86, of Bamberg,
died Thursday, March 11, 2010,
at Providence Hospital in
Columbia, after a short illness. The funeral was held at
Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Bamberg. Mr. Kemph was born in
Washington, D.C. on September
25, 1923, the son of the late
James Eugene Kemph and the
late Mary Ann Westbrook Kemph.
Robert W. McCully Sr.,
passed away Thursday, March 11,
2010, at Lexington Regional
Medical Center Hospital,
Lexington, after an extended
illness. He had been in Carroll
Campbell Place, an extended care
unit of the Medical Center, since
August 2009. Mr. McCully was born in
West Palm Beach, Fla., son of the
late R. W. "Mac" McCully,
formerly of Anderson, and his
wife, the late Ruth E. Dennis McCully. Funeral was held Sunday,
March 14, 2010 in the Trinity United Methodist, Bamberg.
Mrs. Clara Kittrell "Bookie"
Sweatman, 79, of Cope, died early
Monday morning, March 15, 2010, at home with her daughter
and longtime caregiver by her side
after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in Orangeburg. She was born July 8, 1930, in
Orangeburg, the daughter of the late Eddie Lee Kittrell and the late
Viola Dempsey Kittrell.
Funeral services for Joyce L.
Washington, 46, of Denmark, was
held Monday, March 15, 2010, at Franklin United
Methodist Church in Denmark. Joyce was born to Mr. Calvin
Fickling and Mrs. Jeanette W. Fickling in Bamberg on March 23, 1963.
Mrs. Alma Lancaster
Williams, 100, of Govan, and
widow of Lester Williams, died
March 10, 2010, in a Aiken
nursing home. Mrs. Williams was born
January 14, 1910, in Govan, SC, a
daughter of the late Luther L. and Annie Lee Lancaster.
The funeral for Christopher
"Quite" Williams, 16, of
Denmark, was held Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at
Central Baptist Church in Denmark. He was born July 30, 1993,
to Prince and Evangelist Barbara Islar Williams of Orangeburg.
